A crushing 10-Run Rule win over Newcastle Baseball Association Inc. brought the Baseball NSW Senior League State Championships to an end for our oldest Junior Warriors.
Today’s success followed on from a hard fought 16-15 run victory over the Hills Junior Baseball Association Blue team on the main diamond yesterday, which knocked the opposition out of finals contention and allowed us to jump them in the pool standings.
Congratulations to the players, many of whom played their last Junior Tournament, but we look forward to them joining our State League ranks next season in Under 18s and pushing for grade appearances.
A sincere thank you also to coaches Mathew Forbes and Ben Nash who have taken this group of players through to State Championships for several years.
One tournament remains for this Summer Season, where Greater Western Baseball Association will field three teams in the Baseball NSW – Little League and League Age 10/11s State Championships, hosted locally by Rap 4 Change Mt Druitt Lions Baseball Club at Peter Van Hasselt Reserve from Thursday to Sunday, 15-18th April 2021.
