Warriors snag a line drive at 1B – Rookies

Fantastic day today for the Greater Western Baseball Association Warriors at the 2020 Baseball NSW Rookies Zooka Tournament. Both teams recorded two wins from four games with some solid hitting, strong throws across the diamond and real web gems. For 20 players who don't normally face the Zooka machine, and missed almost a month of training opportunities due to heat / rain / smoke, their performances today were sensational.Congratulations also to the coaching staff, all but one of whom were in their first official role in wrangling our Warriors. The impact and improvements you have had on these players cannot be understated. Finally, a big thank you to all of the parents, many of whom were also experiencing their own first Representative Tournament, with the important role of getting the players to and from, not only the Tournament, but a number of early Sunday morning sessions as the coaches attempted to avoid the weather extremes. The spirit in which you have supported this programme and cheered on good plays by all teams is a great example for our players to follow.

Fantastic day today for the Greater Western Baseball Association Warriors at the 2020 Baseball NSW Rookies Zooka Tournament.

Both teams recorded two wins from four games with some solid hitting, strong throws across the diamond and real web gems.

For 20 players who don’t normally face the Zooka machine, and missed almost a month of training opportunities due to heat / rain / smoke, their performances today were sensational.

Congratulations also to the coaching staff, all but one of whom were in their first official role in wrangling our Warriors.
